China: Where Are Psychopaths?

Screenshot_2013_06_07_19_05_40_1It seems that, in China, the word "psychopath" (精神病患者) is not widely used. Neither are the words "sociopath", "antisocial disorder", "cluster B" nor all these personnality disorders that are widely used in the West. In fact, on Wikipedia, there is no entry for the word "psychopath" in Chinese, and if there were one, it would certainly be a translation from the article in English, so it would be no information about China.

According to Martha Stout in her book "The Sociopath Next Door", (that I have not read yet but found a section on Ran Prieur's website), in Taiwan there is "a remarkably low prevalence of antisocial personality disorder, ranging from 0.03 percent to 0.14 percent", to be compared with a prevalence rate of 1 to 4% in the US. I assume that the prevalence rate in Continental China is closer to Taiwan's than the US'.

However, even a very few psychopaths can cause very big damage, why isn't it easy to find stories about them in the Chinese web? Because Chinese Psychopath cause no problem to Chinese society? because Chinese prefer not to mention stories where they have been ridiculed? because another term is used for this type of personality?

It might be there is not such an equivalent in Chinese culture (I doubt it), but in fact, another way to find them is to look for the damage they do to people and society. There is nobody talking about psychopath/sociopath but perhaps there are people complaining about what they do.

But so far, I have not found anything concluding yet.
